Thermostatic Balancing Valves

Thermostatic Balancing Valves (TBVs) are specifically designed for installation on the return branch of domestic hot water (DHW) recirculation systems. They automatically balance water temperature throughout the circulation network, ensuring that every branch, zone, and floor receives an adequate supply of hot water. This eliminates the common problem of some outlets receiving sufficient hot water while others experience long waiting times or insufficient temperatures. By maintaining the desired return water temperature, thermostatic balancing valves improve hot water availability, reduce water and energy waste, and enhance overall system efficiency. They are widely used in hotels, hospitals, schools, resorts, nursing homes, residential buildings, and other facilities where a reliable domestic hot water supply is essential. Installed at the end of each return branch, the valve is set to a predetermined temperature. Once the return water reaches the setpoint, the valve automatically throttles to maintain the required circulation, allowing only a small bypass flow necessary to keep the recirculation loop active. An integrated temperature gauge provides clear temperature indication, simplifying commissioning, temperature adjustment, and ongoing system management. Thermostatic balancing valves are also known as automatic hot water recirculation balancing valves. Among the leading solutions available worldwide, INTA thermostatic balancing valves from the UK are widely recognized for their reliability, long service life, and stable performance. As the official INTA distributor in Vietnam, PGTECH supplies these valves to numerous commercial and institutional projects every year, where they continue to operate reliably for decades with minimal maintenance.
