Belimo expands its portfolio of smart connected HVAC devices

Belimo continues to expand its portfolio with a new range of connected field devices, including:

• GM 40 Nm damper actuator (non-fail-safe), powerful and flexible
• GR motorized butterfly valve actuator, precise and reliable
• Air differential pressure sensor

In addition, the product line includes high-torque actuators such as QR (450 Nm) and YR (700 Nm) designed for large-diameter butterfly valves.

These devices are engineered for easy installation, configuration, and maintenance while reducing energy consumption and enabling smart building operation.

Key highlight: GM 40 Nm damper actuator

One of the most notable products in the Digital Generation line is the GM 40 Nm damper actuator (non-fail-safe), now available on the market.

Key features include:

• High energy efficiency: only 2 W during operation and 0.2 W in standby mode
• Up to 75% energy reduction compared to previous generations
• Simplified installation and configuration via Belimo Assistant 2, enabling:
  • Control signal adjustment
  • Operating time configuration
  • Auxiliary switch setup

In addition, the Belimo M600 microchip enables advanced functions such as real-time live trending, delivering precise airflow control, especially for large damper applications.

Motorized butterfly valve with GR actuator (launch Q2/2026)

Belimo introduces a new motorized butterfly valve integrated with the GR actuator, expected to launch in Q2/2026.

The device is designed with a strong focus on energy efficiency and operational flexibility:

• Up to 70% reduction in standby energy consumption compared to previous generations
• Easy adjustment of control signals and operating time based on application needs
• Optional auxiliary switch integration to:
  • Indicate fully open/closed valve status
  • Define custom switching points

The GR actuator is compatible with existing butterfly valves sized DN25–DN80 (1”–3”), enabling easy integration into existing systems.

Air differential pressure sensor (launch Q2/2026)

Belimo also introduces a new air differential pressure sensor, scheduled for release in Q2/2026.

The device delivers high accuracy even at low pressure ranges, making it suitable for applications such as:

• Air filter monitoring
• Fan and V-belt monitoring
• AHU and HVAC system applications

With a user-friendly design and app-based connectivity, the sensor helps:

• Simplify monitoring and maintenance
• Reduce system operating costs

The device features a new electrical interface with detachable cable and connectors, making installation and operation more convenient. It supports multiple measurement ranges: ±150, 500, 2500, and 7000 Pa, covering a wide range of applications.

QR and YR actuators for large butterfly valves (launch Q1/2026)

Belimo expands its butterfly valve lineup with large-size applications:

• DN350 (14”) with QR actuator (450 Nm)
• DN400–DN450 (16”–18”) with YR actuator (700 Nm)

These actuators are designed for high-flow applications such as:

• Cooling systems
• Cooling towers
• Thermal and energy plants

Key advantages include:

• Up to 80% energy savings compared to conventional 300 W actuators
• Stable and precise operation powered by the Belimo M600 chip
• Integrated smart heater to:
  • Prevent condensation
  • Improve durability and service life
