The Belimo NM Series Non-Spring Return Damper Actuators are engineered to provide accurate and dependable control of air dampers in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Manufactured by Belimo Switzerland, the NM Series has become one of the company's most popular actuator families thanks to its versatile model range, reliable performance, and competitive cost.
Within HVAC systems, the actuator controls the opening and closing of air dampers that regulate fresh air, return air, exhaust air, and mixed air. Accurate damper positioning contributes to improved indoor air quality, enhanced occupant comfort, and optimized energy efficiency throughout the ventilation system.
The NM Series delivers 10 Nm (90 in-lb) of output torque, making it suitable for dampers up to approximately 22 ft². Operating times range from 45 to 150 seconds, depending on the selected model, allowing engineers to choose the most suitable actuator speed for different HVAC applications.
The product family includes a comprehensive selection of models for both 24 V AC/DC and 230 V AC systems. The NM24A, NM24A-TP, NM24A-S, NM24A-S-TP, and NM24AP5 models provide reliable On/Off control, while the NM24A-SR model offers modulating control for applications requiring proportional damper positioning. For 230 V AC installations, the NM230A and NM230A-TP models support On/Off control, the NM230A-S incorporates auxiliary switches for position indication, and the NM230ASR provides precise modulating control for Building Management System (BMS) integration.
