The HLS-M Magnetic Float Switch is a compact level monitoring device designed for horizontal installation in small tanks and vessels. Its miniature design makes it particularly suitable where installation space is limited and reliable minimum or maximum liquid level detection is required.

The switch operates using a float, permanent magnet and reed contact. The float is mounted on a supported, swivelling lever and follows the liquid level inside the tank. When the liquid reaches the preset switching point, the permanent magnet actuates the reed contact without direct mechanical contact.

Because the switching mechanism uses a permanent magnet and reed contact, the switching operation is non-contact and wear-free. The switch does not require a power supply, while the contacts are potential-free, allowing the device to be integrated into different control and monitoring circuits.

The standard switching function is referenced to a rising liquid level and is configured as a normally open contact. By rotating the switch through 180°, it can also be used as a normally closed contact, providing additional flexibility for different control requirements.

The HLS-M is designed for simple installation and requires minimal maintenance. This can help reduce installation, commissioning and operating costs in applications where straightforward point-level monitoring is required.

Five versions are available: HLS-M11, HLS-M12, HLS-M21, HLS-M22 and HLS-M23, allowing the appropriate configuration to be selected according to the tank and switching requirements.
