The Water Motor Gong is a mechanical fire alarm device designed for use with wet pipe fire sprinkler systems. Manufactured by PARATECH Korea under the Fesco brand, it provides a dependable audible warning whenever water begins flowing through the alarm valve during sprinkler system operation.

Operating entirely through hydraulic power, the Water Motor Gong is driven by the flow of water released during a fire event. As water passes through the alarm line, it rotates the internal turbine mechanism, causing the gong to sound continuously until water flow stops. Because it requires no electrical power, the Water Motor Gong offers highly reliable operation even during power failures or emergency conditions.

Installed as part of the fire alarm valve assembly, the Water Motor Gong provides immediate local notification that the sprinkler system has been activated, allowing occupants and emergency personnel to respond quickly. It is commonly used together with alarm check valves, providing a simple and proven method of audible fire alarm signaling.
