Inox Y-Strainer

A Y-strainer is a protective filtration device designed to remove debris, rust particles, scale, and other solid contaminants from piping systems before they can reach critical equipment. Equipped with a removable stainless steel mesh screen, the Y-strainer helps safeguard pumps, control valves, meters, heat exchangers, and other downstream components by preventing damage caused by suspended solids and foreign particles. Stainless steel Y-strainers are particularly suitable for clean water, corrosive fluids, seawater, saltwater, and aggressive chemical applications, where excellent corrosion resistance and long service life are essential. For these demanding environments, 316 stainless steel is generally the preferred material due to its superior resistance to chloride-induced corrosion and harsh operating conditions.
