Project Information – Vietnam Military History Museum

The Vietnam Military History Museum is a venue that regularly hosts exhibitions of artifacts, images, and thematic displays serving major national events. The museum manages, preserves, and exhibits a large number of valuable artifacts, including national treasures. It is an important educational and historical institution, promoting the traditions of the Vietnam People’s Army and the nation’s long history of building and defending the country.

The current museum is located on Dien Bien Phu Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi, and is limited in space. Therefore, a new museum is being constructed.

The new Vietnam Military History Museum is a special-grade national project, invested by the General Political Department of the Vietnam People’s Army. It is developed on a 74-hectare site with a total investment of VND 2,500 billion. The project is located on Thang Long Boulevard, Dai Mo Ward, Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi.

The new museum is designed in a modern, minimalist architectural style, creating a visual flow of historical storytelling. It consists of 4 above-ground floors and 1 basement, with a construction footprint of 23,198 m² and a total floor area of 64,640 m², reaching a height of 35.8 meters.

The project includes staircases and elevators; lighting systems harmonized between architectural lighting and natural light; and multimedia systems combined with directional sound technology, allowing visitors to interact freely and experience an immersive exhibition environment.
