Fire Fighting Valves and Equipment

Firefighting valves, also known as valves for fire protection systems (FFS), are typically classified as industrial valves for fire protection. The main control valves in these systems typically require international UL/FM certifications, which helps establish a common standard for the fire protection sector. The most common types of these control valves are alarm valves, deluge valves, and gate and butterfly valves with a supervisory switch. In addition, other key pieces of equipment such as sprinkler heads, flexible sprinkler hoses, and some valves and flexible joints for the piping system are also widely used in FFS.
