Belimo Switzerland Dispatches Specialist to Vietnam to Train PGTECH on Belimo Actuators and Valves

On December 20, 2016, Belimo Switzerland sent a senior training specialist to Vietnam to provide a comprehensive training session for PGTECH. The session focused on Belimo's product portfolio, including new technologies for Belimo Control Valves such as the Energy Valve, Zone Valves, new generation Globe Valves, and advanced Butterfly Valves from the manufacturer. The expert also covered traditional Belimo electric valves like threaded ball valves and flanged ball valves commonly used in HVAC systems. A special emphasis was placed on control valves for hot steam, a core strength of Belimo's product line.

The training session was highly interactive and visual. The expert used cut-away models of control valves to reveal the internal components, allowing participants to easily understand the inner workings. Belimo's specialist also demonstrated how to connect the electric valves to a computer for programming and configuration, simulating a real-world field setup.

Understanding the Flexibility of Belimo Products

Belimo products are designed with remarkable flexibility and compatibility with other manufacturers' products. This means Belimo's control actuators and damper actuators can be used with valves from other well-known brands. This design philosophy gives investors and designers the flexibility to choose the best products for their projects, while also making it easier for system users and operators to select suitable products and suppliers.

Customizable Product Design

In addition to standard products, Belimo also collaborates with damper manufacturers to produce specialized products tailored to customer requirements. This is particularly true for fire and smoke damper actuators, which are critical for building safety systems, and for motorized globe valves. The core idea behind this is to ensure that dampers operate efficiently, comply with safety standards, and improve the overall installation efficiency of the entire system.

The Belimo training specialist provided an overview of Belimo’s core product lines by using a comprehensive model that showed the applications of damper actuators in air systems and Belimo control valves in water systems. The specialist also introduced the Energy Valve, one of Belimo's most advanced products, which integrates cutting-edge technology for energy savings, operational safety, and smart control via smartphone. This product has been highly successful in the American and European markets. Belimo hopes that in the near future, advanced products like the Energy Valve will be widely adopted in Vietnam, allowing the market to embrace Belimo's latest technology.

During the training, the specialist openly addressed topics of interest to PGTECH and answered questions about the applications and principles of Belimo's electric valves and damper actuator solutions. After the session, the specialist provided relevant materials for PGTECH to continue its research on Belimo's advanced solutions, enabling the company to better advise its customers in the Vietnamese market.
