The Belimo NMQ Series Quick Running Non-Spring Return Damper Actuators are designed to provide fast, accurate, and reliable control of air dampers in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Manufactured by Belimo Switzerland, the NMQ Series offers rapid response times, intelligent electronic control, and excellent energy efficiency, making it a preferred solution for modern commercial and industrial ventilation systems.
Within an HVAC installation, the actuator controls the opening and closing of air dampers that regulate fresh air, return air, exhaust air, and mixed air. Fast actuator response improves airflow regulation, enhances indoor air quality, and supports more efficient operation of air handling units and ventilation equipment.
The NMQ Series delivers 8 Nm (70 in-lb) of output torque, making it suitable for dampers up to approximately 12 ft². Depending on the selected model, the actuator is available with operating times of 7, 10, 15, or 20 seconds, providing engineers with flexible options for applications requiring rapid damper movement.
The product family includes the NMQ24A for 24 V AC/DC On/Off control, the NMQ24A-SR for 24 V AC/DC modulating control, and the NMD230A for 100–240 V AC On/Off control. These models are designed for seamless integration into HVAC control systems and Building Management Systems (BMS), providing stable and accurate damper positioning.
