The Belimo BE Series Fire & Smoke Damper Actuators are designed to provide reliable control of fire and smoke dampers in HVAC systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings. Manufactured by Belimo Switzerland, the world's leading specialist in HVAC actuator technology, the BE Series is widely installed in office buildings, hospitals, schools, shopping centers, and other facilities where life safety is a critical requirement.
Within an HVAC ventilation system, the actuator controls the opening and closing of fire and smoke dampers to regulate airflow during normal operation while supporting smoke management and compartmentalization during emergency conditions. These actuators play an important role in protecting both occupants and property by helping prevent the spread of smoke and fire through ventilation ductwork.
The BE Series includes the BE24, BE24-ST, and BE230 models. The BE24 and BE24-ST operate on 24 V AC/DC, while the BE230 is designed for 230 V AC power supply. Designed for On/Off control without a mechanical spring return, the BE Series offers reliable actuator performance with a typical operating time of approximately 60 seconds.
