The Belimo FSLF Series Fire & Smoke Damper Actuators are specifically engineered for life safety applications requiring rapid and reliable operation of fire and smoke dampers. Designed to meet the requirements of UL555S fire and smoke control systems, these actuators provide dependable performance for commercial buildings, hospitals, airports, data centers, and other critical facilities.
As part of an HVAC fire protection system, the actuator controls the opening and closing of fire and smoke dampers to regulate airflow during normal operation while automatically moving the damper to its fail-safe position during emergency conditions. This helps prevent the spread of smoke and fire through ventilation ducts, protecting occupants and supporting building evacuation.
The FSLF Series delivers 3.5 Nm (30 in-lb) of output torque and is suitable for dampers up to approximately 4 ft² at 350°F (177°C). The actuator rotates through 95° and features an integrated position indicator displaying the full operating range from 0° to 95°, allowing easy visual confirmation of damper position.
A built-in mechanical spring return mechanism ensures automatic fail-safe operation whenever power is interrupted. With an operating time of less than 15 seconds and a spring return time of less than 15 seconds, the FSLF Series provides the rapid response required for fire and smoke control applications.
The product range includes FSLF24 US and FSLF24-S US for 24 V applications, FSLF120 US and FSLF120-S US for 120 V, and FSLF230 US and FSLF230-S US for 230 V systems. Both On/Off and modulating control options are available to suit different building automation and smoke control strategies.
