The Belimo FSAF Series Fire & Smoke Damper Actuators are engineered to provide reliable, high-performance control of fire and smoke dampers in HVAC life safety systems. Manufactured by Belimo USA, the FSAF Series is specifically designed for UL555S fire and smoke damper applications, ensuring dependable operation during both normal ventilation and emergency conditions.
As an essential component of HVAC fire protection systems, the actuator controls the opening and closing of fire and smoke dampers while automatically returning the damper to its designated fail-safe position during a power interruption. This rapid response helps prevent the spread of smoke and fire through ventilation ductwork, supporting occupant safety and compliance with modern fire protection standards.
The FSAF Series delivers 20 Nm (180 in-lb) of output torque, making it suitable for fire and smoke dampers up to approximately 16 ft² at 250°F (121°C). The actuator provides a 95° rotation angle and includes an integrated position indicator displaying the full operating range from 0° to 95°, allowing maintenance personnel to quickly verify damper position.
The product range includes FSAF24A and FSAF24A-S for 24 V AC/DC applications, FSAF120A and FSAF120A-S for 120 V AC, and FSAF230A and FSAF230A-S for 230 V AC systems. Models are available in both On/Off and modulating control versions, enabling easy integration with building management systems (BMS) and smoke control systems.
With an operating time of less than 25 seconds and a mechanical spring return time of less than 15 seconds, the FSAF Series provides rapid, dependable fail-safe operation for demanding HVAC life safety applications.
