The Belimo CM Series Compact Non-Spring Return Damper Actuators are specifically designed for HVAC applications where installation space is extremely limited. Manufactured by Belimo Switzerland, the CM Series combines compact dimensions, dependable performance, and easy installation, making it an ideal solution for residential buildings, commercial projects, retrofit applications, and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
Within HVAC systems, the actuator regulates the opening and closing of air dampers that control fresh air, return air, exhaust air, and mixed air. Accurate airflow control improves indoor air quality, enhances occupant comfort, and increases the overall energy efficiency of heating and cooling systems.
Delivering 2 Nm (18 in-lb) of output torque, the CM Series is suitable for dampers up to approximately 4.5 ft². The actuator completes a full rotation in 35 seconds, providing smooth and reliable damper positioning for compact ventilation systems.
One of the key advantages of the CM Series is its ultra-slim housing, measuring only 0.63 inches (16 mm) in height. This compact profile allows installation in locations where conventional actuators cannot fit. The actuator includes a universal shaft clamp, a single-screw anti-rotation bracket, and adjustable mechanical end stops, simplifying installation and reducing commissioning time. When continuous rotation is required, the mechanical end stops can be removed.
The CM Series incorporates a rugged brushless DC motor with built-in electronic protection against overload, stall, burnout, and vibration. This intelligent protection system helps maximize operational reliability while extending actuator service life. Combined with maintenance-free construction and low power consumption, the CM Series provides a dependable solution for long-term HVAC operation.
