The Yooksong Alcohol Resistant Firefighting Foam Concentrate 3% is a high-performance foam concentrate developed specifically for extinguishing Class B flammable liquid fires, particularly those involving polar solvents such as alcohols, ketones, esters, and organic acids, while also providing excellent performance on conventional hydrocarbon fuel fires.

Unlike conventional AFFF concentrates, the Alcohol Foam 3% formulation creates a durable polymer membrane when applied to water-miscible fuels. This protective barrier prevents the foam blanket from breaking down upon contact with polar solvents, allowing the foam to effectively suppress flammable vapors, cool the fuel surface, and prevent reignition.

For hydrocarbon fuel fires, the concentrate forms an effective aqueous film that rapidly spreads across the fuel surface, providing excellent vapor sealing and fast flame knockdown. This dual-action capability makes the product suitable for facilities handling both hydrocarbon fuels and alcohol-based chemicals.

The foam concentrate provides excellent sealing characteristics against fuel vapors while delivering outstanding penetration and extinguishing performance. It is compatible with both freshwater and seawater, making it suitable for onshore industrial facilities as well as marine and offshore fire protection applications.

The concentrate is proportioned at 3% using standard foam proportioning equipment, including foam bladder tanks, pressure proportioners, and line proportioners, before being discharged through foam chambers, foam monitors, foam nozzles, or other foam application devices.

Certified by the Korea Fire Institute (KFI), the product is designed for use in fixed and mobile foam fire suppression systems protecting facilities where flammable liquids and polar solvents are present.
