Mô tả sản phẩm

Hard water can create significant challenges for irrigation systems, particularly where water contains elevated levels of calcium, magnesium and other dissolved minerals. Over time, mineral deposits can accumulate inside irrigation pipes, drip lines, valves, nozzles and other components, potentially restricting water flow and increasing cleaning and maintenance requirements.

For golf course irrigation systems, maintaining consistent water distribution is particularly important. Mineral deposits can affect irrigation equipment, while hard-water conditions may also contribute to problems in storage tanks, channels and water distribution infrastructure.

ActivFlo from INTA (UK) provides a chemical-free catalytic water conditioning solution that can be installed directly inline with the irrigation water supply. Rather than relying on salt, chemical dosing or conventional filter cartridges, ActivFlo uses catalytic technology to alter the way calcium carbonate forms in the water.

The system contains a patented catalytic alloy manufactured from a combination of semi-precious metals. As water passes through the catalytic chamber, the natural conductivity of the water enables interaction between the metals and generates an electrical field across the alloy surface.

This process promotes the formation of microscopic calcium carbonate crystals known as aragonite. The smooth structure of these crystals has a lower tendency to adhere strongly to surfaces compared with conventional hard-water scale.

As a result, ActivFlo can help reduce the accumulation of mineral deposits in irrigation pipework and equipment, supporting more reliable water flow and easier system maintenance.

ActivFlo for Golf Course Irrigation

Golf courses require extensive irrigation networks covering large areas of turf, including fairways, greens and landscaped zones. Where the irrigation water contains high levels of calcium and other minerals, scale accumulation can become a long-term operational concern.

Installing an ActivFlo water conditioner in the irrigation system can help control the effects of hard water without introducing additional chemicals into the water supply.

Potential benefits for golf course irrigation include:

  • Helps reduce mineral scale formation in irrigation pipework
  • Helps keep drip irrigation lines and distribution components cleaner
  • Helps maintain smoother operation of valves and taps
  • Helps protect irrigation equipment from mineral deposits
  • Can reduce the frequency of scale-related maintenance
  • Supports more consistent water distribution
  • Helps reduce the impact of dissolved salts and minerals on irrigation infrastructure
  • Requires no routine chemical dosing or salt replenishment
  • Simple inline installation with minimal maintenance requirements

By helping control mineral deposits, the system can contribute to maintaining irrigation performance while reducing the operational burden associated with cleaning and scale management.

Installation & Available Sizes

ActivFlo is installed directly inline on the irrigation water pipe, upstream of the equipment and irrigation network that requires protection.

The product range covers sizes from DN15 to DN250, including: DN15, DN20, DN25, DN32, DN40, DN50, DN65, DN80, DN100, DN125, DN150, DN200 and DN250.

This range allows the technology to be specified for smaller irrigation branches as well as larger commercial and agricultural water distribution systems.

Unlike conventional salt-based softeners, ActivFlo does not require electrical power, salt regeneration or routine chemical dosing. This makes it suitable for irrigation applications where a compact, low-maintenance water conditioning solution is preferred.

Đặc tính thiết kế

ActivFlo can also be applied to agricultural irrigation systems where water quality and mineral content affect soil, irrigation equipment and crop management.

The technology is designed to help improve water infiltration and reduce the impact of mineral accumulation within irrigation infrastructure. In agricultural applications, this can support more efficient use of water, energy and operating resources.

For golf courses, the same principle can be applied to irrigation systems supplying turf areas. Maintaining clean irrigation lines and reducing scale accumulation can help operators manage irrigation equipment more effectively and potentially reduce maintenance requirements.

ActivFlo is also suitable for irrigation networks using drip lines, valves, tanks and other water-distribution components. The absence of chemical dosing makes it a practical option for applications where operators want to minimize the use of treatment chemicals.
