The VSR (EU) Water Flow Switch by Rapidrop UK is a UL Listed and FM Approved vane-type water flow detector designed for wet fire sprinkler systems. The Rapidrop RDVSR-EU Water Flow Switch is a vane-operated water flow detector designed to monitor water movement in wet pipe fire sprinkler systems. Installed directly on the pipeline, the device detects sustained water flow caused by sprinkler activation and transmits an alarm signal to the fire alarm control panel or building management system.

The flow switch operates using an internal vane mechanism positioned inside the pipe. When water begins flowing through the pipeline, the vane is displaced, activating the electrical switch. To prevent nuisance alarms caused by temporary pressure fluctuations or water surges, the RDVSR-EU incorporates an adjustable pneumatic retard mechanism, allowing the alarm signal to be delayed until continuous water flow is confirmed.

The device is equipped with two independent SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) snap-action switches, providing reliable signal transmission for fire alarm panels, supervisory systems, or auxiliary control equipment.

Designed for flexibility, the RDVSR-EU can be installed as a main system flow detector or as a zone water flow switch in larger sprinkler installations, enabling localized monitoring and faster identification of activated sprinkler zones.
